Our kokkotu Story
Hi there! We’re Rach and Josh, the proud founders of kokkotu, a small family business based in beautiful Auckland, New Zealand.
Our two adventurous boys are the heart and soul of Kokkotu. Their boundless energy, creativity, and endless imaginations inspired us to create a range of shirts that spark joy and encourage exploration. We believe that every day is an adventure waiting to happen, and our shirts are designed to be a part of those magical childhood moments!
At kokkotu, we prioritize sustainability. Our shirts are made from organic cotton, which is not only safe for your little ones but also kind to our planet and the farmers who grow it. We’re committed to ensuring that our clothing is ethically produced, because we care deeply about our people and the environment.
Family is at the core of everything we do. Our boys inspire us daily, and we’re grateful for the support of our loved ones. You might be wondering about our name—while it might look like a playful twist on "cockatoo," it actually has Finnish roots! Kokkotu comes from our family name, Kokko, celebrating our Finnish heritage and the spirit of "sisu" (which you should definitely look up!).
If you’ve got a kokkotu shirt, we’d love to see it in action! Share your adventures with us by tagging @kokkotukids on Instagram and Facebook.
Thank you for being part of our journey! We truly appreciate your support. If you have any questions or feedback, don’t hesitate to reach out at kokkotukids@gmail.com.
